Career Planning resources for educators
Supporting trainees with their career planning can be rewarding but it is often difficult to know how to provide effective advice and guidance when time is short and the subject is so big! In this part of our website, we hope to offer you some advice about how to support your trainees in their career decision-making and to point you to a new key resource to help you help them.
London and South East (LaSE) Careers Unit in partnership with e-learning for Healthcare has developed a number of e-modules for clinicians including Foundation and Core doctors, to assist then with their career planning and decision making, In addition, we have also developed a specific E-module resource for Educators supporting doctors in training.
The Foundation and Core Doctor E-module resources are designed around the four stage SCAN career planning model:
(Self Awareness/ Career Exploration/ Arriving at a Decision/Next Steps) which supports doctors in making their career decisions about specialty choice.
All E-modules can accessed via the e-lfh learning Hub: https://portal.e-lfh.org.uk
